Precast Panel / Prekast Panel Nedir

What is Precast Panel

What is Precast Panel?

What is Precast Panel? is the most asked question. Precast Panel is also known as GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete).

White portland cement contains silica sand with a silica content of 90% or higher and alkali resistant glass fiber. Water, plasticizers and other chemical components and binders are added to the mix at the production stage.

Production at 8-10 or 18 values is done in factory conditions using Premix or Spray technology. In summary, there are 3 different product groups in general. However, we can reach the special physical values required in the project as a result of our studies in our laboratory.

The premix system is realized by pouring the previously prepared mixture into the mold. In the spray system, a mixture containing sand, cement, water and other chemicals is used. Alkali resistant glass fiber is sprayed into the mold during the spraying process.

Spray production methodology has no difference with traditional premix precast (GRC) in terms of quality standards. However, while the premix system is produced as 8p-10p, the spray system produces 10p-18p. In GFRC / GRC Panels, a spray system is generally preferred in cases where there are many decorative elements.

Precast literally means pre-production. However, it is widely used in our country to express the GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete) product.

Is Precast Panel Produced With Insulation?

Panel precast is mainly expressed for flat GFRC / GRC products. However, insulated products are also called panels by some manufacturers.

Stone wool or mineral wool is used for facade insulation. In general, insulation with a thickness of 5 cm and a density of 50 dns is preferred. Pins are put into the GFRC / GRC during the production phase. The pins limit the movement of the insulation, keeping it fixed within the panel.

In order to provide waterproofing on the façade and to prevent thermal bridges, the panels must first be manufactured as overlapping.

In the rebated system, a 15-20 mm high barrier that prevents the passage of water between the upper panel and the lower panel is formed on the lower panel. Waterproofing is completed with the application of wick and mastic.

Developed in recent years, mineral wool has a structure that evacuates the water in its body, as it contains siliconized impregnation. At the same time, thanks to its flexible structure, it does not cause performance degradation in the thermal insulation of curved sections even at higher densities.

GRCA (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association), which is the association of precast manufacturers, expresses the test methods related to the product in its publications.

Currently applied test methods are 8 tests as EN 1170-1….EN 1170-8.

FIBERTON A.S. It has its own laboratory. In this way, it can perform all the tests related to precast. At the same time, it periodically informs its employers.

Precast products are of many different types and FIBERTON A.Ş. You can find grc products here.
